Pros

Bancroft offers good pay for full time employees, informal atmosphere, casual attire, flexible hours for per diem staff. It is a rewarding opportunity to work with and learn from developmentally disabled youth.

Cons

poor communication between staff, management, and clinicians. BCBAs often misinformed because of whisper-down-the-lane effect. also, per diem employees are paid significantly less than full time employees.

Pros

The best part about working at Bancroft was making a positive impact in the lives of the people they serve and their loved ones. It was rewarding to see clients meet and exceed some of the goals they were given and to see their overall disabilities improving.

Cons

Bancroft does not care about their staff or their clients. The living conditions on the main campus in Haddonfield were deplorable. Some of the units are infested with mold and with insects. They do not have adequate temperature control so some of the childrens rooms are either too cold or too hot. They just want staff to oversee the children so you get what you pay for!

Pros

The ability to pick up extra hours, not having a regular 9-5 job everyday, and working with the individuals in the group homes. Seeing the individuals on a daily basis and creating a relationship with them is priceless.

Cons

Extremely low pay, the hours are long, dealing with aggressions from some of the individuals can be tiresome and the techniques they teach in training do not help! Management tells you how to do your job, when they are not the ones working directly with the individuals in the group home everyday. There is very little room for moving up within the company, although they tell you that there is.
