      Pros

      Grown up atmosphere with experienced recruiters who possess excellent sector and recruitment knowledge Great salary and bonus structure Flexibility in working arrangements and a good work life balance Focus on collaboration and quality over quantity

      Cons

      if any, the offices, location is perfect but they are a bit old.

      Great company, new CEO changing things for the better

      Pros

      They hire, smart experienced consultants. They have a great culture combined with incredible work life balance for recruitment. Collaborative culture, very established in markets they operate in. Fantastic pay for billing 180k a year. Hired 8 Grads 2 years ago, only 1 has left and they left to join Deloitte out recruitment, so it is testament to the business with that kind of retention They did have a bit of an old boys club culture but the new CEO has reinvigorated the business, taking it in the right direction.

      Offices are falling to pieces. We are moving though. Would still say there are the odd

      - Dynamic, proactive CEO who understands how hard recruitment can be at times - Fantastic culture - everyone works hard to help their colleagues - Excellent salary/bonus structure with a lucrative payment scheme - A long established list of clients and a returning pool of candidates who have enjoyed their experience of using Barclay Simpson - Excellent systems to support the work done by consultants and managers - Mature and flexible working environment - Excellent training and development with a clear career path structure available to both billers and managers - Internal mobility scheme to promote internal career development and mobility across divisions and international offices

      Cons

      - Being a niche governance recruitment consultancy means we are very well known and respected in our specific markets, but aren't necessarily known outside of those. This can make it difficult to attract new consultants from other market sectors and to increase diversity in our business.
