      Barclays invests a lot in training programs for analysts, people are nice although formal

      Cons

      the pay is very low, promotions are hard to come by, it seems like they are over hiring to satisfy some regulatory demands but most people are very inefficient and lack skills

      Individual contributers are all trying to do the right thing, push toward change. Staff are generally helpful and supportive. Focused on the customer experience.

      Cons

      Mid level and senior management are often clueless and resistant to change of any kind. Processes and direction are unclear and change often, making navigating your job difficult and stressful. A huge amount of personal politics is present.
