      Work life balance is a serious issue

      Pros

      30 days holidays, great people, interesting work - a mix of strategic and operational HR, good opportunities for advancement and progression

      Cons

      There is a long hours culture in HR, senior management sees it, and tries to do something about it but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Pay is low compared to competitors

      The best reasons were being able to work as part of a team and getting involved in various assignments with high level of resonsibility

      they did not provide me with enough feedback on my performance I feel how they assessed my perfomance was not very efficient

      Pros

      Lots of travel if you like. It can be an rewarding job with the right leadership.

      Cons

      Careful, most management is ruthless, which trickles down. When you are hired, be VERY clear as to you position. Many new hires leave Barclays within 3-6 months because the job to which they arrive is very different (junior) to the job they were promised. It is a strategic move on the part of management. As soon as you have a manager you respect, he/she will replaced with a lackey. I had four managers in three years - each rightfully more paranoid than the last. The individuals receiving promotion will be the ones you respect the least...
