Pros

It is evident that the company truly cares about its associates. The atmosphere created by the decor and excited customers makes this a fun place to work. Management seems to care about the growth of the individual. While opportunities to advance are not frequent, they are encouraged when they come available.

Cons

The pay is not great. Training within this company is awful. You must be independent in that you must be willing to learn by finding the information on your own, asking a colleague, or calling another store for help. Very little focus is put on training packets, etc.

Pros

It could have been the job of a lifetime but... As a pro I would say discounts are ok, not great but ok. I had high expectations that management failed at on several levels.

Cons

Sadly management was poor, they didn't know what they were doing enough to be effective. They kept coming back with wrong information and training was very lacking to be effective staff members. Going to another store with other personnel to train was a very poor training experience when you're supposed to go back to your store and train everyone else. You don't learn when there are two or more people trying to train with one trainer one-on-one. They didn't take complaints about problems with other personnel seriously. Instead decided to age discriminate instead of resolving the issues. They didn't communicate very well and you never really knew the big picture which told me how insecure they were about their jobs. Discounts for hard working employees could have been better. They are not bad but could be better. Employee bathrooms would have been very effective in saving time when you need to take a quick break. When opening a new store the organization/communication could have been handled better. Sorry, but it was so sad to see how things could have played out so much better for the staff and customers if management would have had a better handle on logistics, communication and organization and staff could have been better trained.
