Pros

The discount is pretty good, if you enjoy outdoor stuff. If not it kind of goes to waste. There are lots of very friendly associates through out the building.

Cons

Very fast paced. Doesn't matter how hard you work, or how hard you try, you are not appreciated. Management uses bully tactics

Pros

Awesome aesthetics! For the most part its a cool to work with all the neat items they sell there. Customers are usually upbeat and happy. Cool Job for only part time work. Too many clicks to work there full time. Cool Place to work Part time.

Cons

The Corporation is so out of touch with the Store its almost laughable. The Corp has no idea what goes on in its stores. The old time Managers and employees are one big "click" that rule new hires with an iron Fist. You need to be accepted by them to have any longevity of employment. If you have a problem with anyone in the,"click", even if they are dead wrong and doing something illegal, you mind as well quit. The HR manager is nothing but a glorified Cashier with long standing, outside personal relationships with old Time Managers and Employees alike. its the buddy buddy system at Bass Pro. It is impossible for the HR manager to be the slightest bit objective. Also, HR comes as goes as they please with out really any time to listen to employees. Mostly there to keep hiring friends and family. If you have problem, it all depends on who its with to know weather or not you can have HR resolve it. IF you have an old Timer pick on you, harrass you,etc- forget it ! you'll get bullied right out of there. A couple of years back they brought in some new salaried managers which did wonders for the store morale and made it feel like a growing company with a professional Staff but little by little they chopped The new managers down and made life a nightmare until they kicked them out. A sad day for sure, the dirty tricks they pulled between HRs and hourly against these guys was insane. I will never forget.

Pros

quality of the company. The way management treats you is unlike any other company. Customers that shop here are wonderful. Its fun. The promo they have for the customers are great.

Cons

The pay is not the best. The health insurance is a little pricy. Rely on other employees to train new hires instead of by the book if you are given poor training you continue to do it wrong
