      Good place to start a career

      Pros

      Looks good on a resume. Will learn valuable skill sets and experience. Most coworkers are great. Good company discounts. Flex time is nice. Lots of amenities, like gym, restaurant and walking trails.

      Cons

      Starting pay is good, but raises are bare minimum and across the board the same. Doesn't matter how hard you work, you will l get the same yearly increase as everyone else. Everyone is expendable. The workload is massive. Treated like children. Lots of drama and high stress atmosphere. Benefits are not that great.

      Pros

      None....HR advised that they arrange schedules so employees might have a life....then post a schedule to the contrary and say "Hey this is retail....you'll work when we tell you." Crap!!!

      Cons

      Low pay....no to little training. Upper management has zero clue to keep associates even slightly happy.....poor company, very very poor. Go Cabelas!!!

      Had some opportunities to learn new technologies. Enjoyed working with most all co-workers.

      Cons

      Lots of negativity at this place. Co-works (and even management) congratulate you when you leave, as it's like you made parole. Most of the good people know not to stick around. They show little respect to their employees. I realized it was bad, but was reminded how bad once I left Bass Pro and found that there still are companies that give their employees trust and respect. Looking back, I was like a beaten dog working at Bass Pro. It took a good year for me to recover and realize that not all companies believe in kicking their dog.
