      Had its ups and downs but there wasn't much room to grow

      Pros

      - great retail place to work if you need hours, very flexible if part time - great co-workers - ability to learn a great deal about the retail environment if you desire - used to have round table employee reviews but that has changed now - customers can be very sweet and fun to deal with - learn a great deal about products as well - employee discount is ok but could be much better - culture of the store is great and very welcoming, almost like a family

      Cons

      - general management is out to lunch and confusing - hiring is done based on criteria that isn't really relevant to the job - middle managers don't have a good grasp on how their departments are run - also middle managers put too much onus on team leads - you need to be full time to become a lead in any department - being in the Canadian store there was a lot of confusion in regards to inventory and assortment that should be carried - management is very political and you many times promotions are based on how close that person is to upper management, not actually on merit.

      Pros

      Talked about fishing and boating all day. Customers were friendly. 40% discount! Co-workers were enjoyable.

      Cons

      Paychecks were terrible. Worked part time and was often scheduled 39 hours, just enough to not pay me benefits.Management was overbearing. Expectations were way to high for the pay scale. No hope for moving up. Frequently understaffed. Lots of retiree's working there that are friendly but not up to date with product knowledge and move slow..
