Pros

The discount and associates are great but that's it.

Cons

Management here is a joke. This store completely has thrown out Bass Pro's culture and views right out of the window. Every Manager including the HR is out for themselves and lie about their associates to save themselves. There is no accountability for any actions and Managers picking favorites is a huge problem at this store. If you are looking for retail to be your career, stay away from Bass Pro Shops. Learning retail this way will surely make you out to become a liar, a cheat, an unethical person, and kill any kind of morals you may have. Johnny Morris and Jim Hagle needs to seriously get more involved about what kind of Managers are being hired at their stores.

Pros

Good people to work with, great discounts on Bass Pro Shops branded items (even a pretty good discount on non-branded items), fun environment and good opportunities to work with customers from around the world on a regular basis.

Cons

Upper management at this store frequently engages in intimidation tactics to get its way. They have absolutely no respect or concern for their people. Disagreeing with upper management results in termination. The pay is sub par.

Pros

Bass pro does have a very good product!

Cons

Took me off salary plus commision, everybody company wide. Was put on hourly, no commision and only 40 hours weekly....had to leave to find a better job! All three salesmen there while I worked there were 1-2 million dollar a year producers, and Bass Pro decided they could sell a $10,000-$50,000 boat, just like they sell a pair of shoes....people laying out that kind of money want a great salesman that has an investment in a customer and sees to it that they get premium service, and not someone that makes the same money if he sales or not!
