I spent the last 3 - 4 years at Battelle under duress. With the advent of the new CEO, management quite suddenly became overbearing, adversarial, and confrontational. Workers started disappearing without any announcement, and conversely new 22 yr old kids would just show up again, without any notice. My office was like a morgue full of walking dead. If they plan to let you go, they beat you up over breaches of policy (or just make stuff up) for years to get leverage, then they 'RIF' you with a generous severance package that you receive only by signing a no-fault waiver.I was finally terminated after so much damaging stress, and now life is good.
