Pros

Fair benefits and good work/life balance. People generally friendly.

Cons

Though talk about open door policy noticed only 1 director and no one else that actually practiced the open door. To talk to anyone above manager, need to go through hoops. Do not seem to value individuals and upper management is in the dark about day to day operations and don't seem to want to learn.

Pros

There is a lot of on the job learning. Good exposure to various industry- and geography specific knowledge. Promotes from within.

Cons

The people writing the SOPs do not normally consult the people who will actually be using them. There are quite a few directors with nebulous titles who don't seem to have any specific responsibilities. Work/life balance can be problematic.

I worked in Round Lake in global services. The only positive thing I have to say is that the engineers working in that department were really smart

Cons

senior management gave money to the anti-gay movement, managers hide in their offices, they're going to screw you on your bonus, the food in the cafeteria stinks, so many other reasons to avoid this company.
