      Good work environment, work life balance but company is drastically cutting costs

      Pros

      Good work environment, work life balance, laid back environment. Everyone is very nice and friendly. Quiet work environment, nice desks, cubical and brand new building in the Mississauga location.

      Cons

      They are drastically cutting costs, lots of people moving in & out of the company. They cut a few positions and have combined roles to save $$. They don't want to add more headcount and are cutting headcounts instead. Everything have to go through approval from the US for hiring and adding people. They stingy with their hiring and love to hire people on contract to save on costs!

      Pros

      A lot of professional people, well developed systems, company culture, career opportunities.

      Cons

      Not very flexible company in making changes. Systems sometimes overcomplicated which leads to just formal adherence to them.

      Pros

      Baxter has a lot of good products and a lot of good people. Some of the initiatives with public/private partnerships are also very interesting.

      Cons

      The decision-making process is extremely lengthy and priorities and organisational structure seem to shift regularly making it often a very frustrating place to work.
