Pros

The only Pros of working in Baxter's Credit and Leasing Services department are the basics; it's a job, they give you a paycheck (albeit a small one), and the benefits are ok.

Cons

The Credit and Leasing Services department is a sinking ship. Close to 10 people have left in the past year, and no one has been replaced. Their work has been distributed to those who are left, and everyone is over capacity. Compensation is minimal, and yearly merit increases are comically small. Politics has infected the department, and management has been extremely unfriendly and overbearing. Was your lunch one hour and 5 minutes? You'll be reprimanded for the extra 5 minutes. You took 7 minutes to go get coffee down the hall? Your lunch break can only be 53 minutes now. It's a middle school, really.

Pros

I am happy with Baxter as a company. Baxter as a whole is great about communicating issues, changes and updates with employees. Baxter is a global company, that has an excellent reputation. Baxter offers employees summer hours from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Baxter is very fair in hiring women in high power positions as well as men.

Cons

For the majority of Baxter employees, condensed work weeks, telecommuting, or alternative work schedules are not granted. There is a lack of manager evaluation from subordinates.

Pros

Good opportunities for career growth and movement within the company. This could be a good first job for people. Unfortunately, company needs to work on compensation, work/life balance, and how they treat their employees to be able to retain them, and promote employee satisfaction. This is probably why there is a high number of young engineers there; however, most of these engineers leave within a couple of years to companies that treat them better in the above described areas.

Cons

Expectation here is that work takes priority over all aspects of your life. Continually rotating schedules, e.g. first shift, swing and grave, sometimes weekend work, sometimes on call. It's hard to plan out your personal life with all of this. Salary is not good, and adding the hours you will be working plus personal sacrifices does not help.
