Pros

It is a paid job.

Cons

There was no training. There is no time off. They will micromanage you to death. They literally described being able to work 12 hour days as a benefit. They tell you it's a nice balance between warm and cold leads, but it's 95% door to door cold calling. They literally demand that you put (impossible to remove) stickers on businesses' windows without consent, which is against the law. There is ridiculous turnover; bosses never stay for long. The culture allows for shady, non-corporate practices and is ancient in philosophy. The entire first year is a 0 commission structure, incentivizing you to not work. They only care about the monthly goal. They will also be killed by Amazon and Google's DIY security systems that are easier, far cheaper, and don't need a middle man like Bay Alarm.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. I am surprised that your experience was that there was no training. We have a formalized in-person training for all new Sales Representatives. This class is comprehensive and includes the assignment of a mentor for on-going support. The experiences you are describing is not what we want for our Sales Representatives. I would really appreciate the opportunity to learn more about your time here. Bay Alarm is in business to keep our customers and their valuables safe, we take great pride in this . If nothing else can you please share your work location with me so I can investigate?
