The culture and pay really depends on the area, role and office or hospital you work in. There are lots of subcultures, especially within the hospitals and clinics. Employee experience can be very different across the organization. BayCare underpays compared to others in the market and has for years and years. They believe their brand recognition holds value over paying their employees according to market value. It's difficult to advance financially the longer you stay because of their pay structure when advancing. You'll always be behind the curve, unless you leave and go back. I know several people who have left and returned just to make more.
