Pros

None, as far as I can see.

Cons

This company doesn't care about its employees at all. Managers are incredibly hostile and demanding you'll be overwhelmed by the huge workloads they'll assign you. It doesn't matter if you've been with them for a long time, because they won't hesitate to let you go, and they won't even bother compensating you or recommending you to other companies.

BayCare used to care

Pros

Remote work and a wonderful department to work with.

Cons

When I first started at BayCare they really cared about their employees and patients. Now it’s just a large corporation only focused on money. You only get ahead in the company if you know someone higher up. It doesn’t matter if they aren’t qualified. They know someone and are handed a promotion. Work experience doesn’t matter either they want degrees. Plus, pay doesn’t keep up with cost of living. Too many people are working side jobs just to make it while higher ups can’t even relate to the struggle and don’t care. Insurance has increased every year and decreased on what it covers.

Not a place you want to stay long term

Pros

There are plenty of job opportunities and some great mid-level managers, competitive salaries. Use this job as a steppingstone and then find a better job. Don't have to worry about layoffs because they reach back into your wallet, so they are financially sound.

Cons

They have enabled mean-spirited long term employees to work there who harass good employees, without reprisal. Baycare Health plan is terrible, high copays. They do not encourage non-college training and growth, so forget any technical training. Most people have their degrees already. Managers often lie to employees about career path and opportunities and often controvert the system to promote underqualified candidates, who then promptly leave at the first opportunity to advance their career as soon as the real work is about to begin. There is a convoluted system for advancement to senior levels in one's job classification. Tommy Inzina lives in knee jerk reaction to whatever is the popular HR theme de la mode, taking down a previously more balanced organization that supports long term employment. Now, they use every opportunity to retrieve that nice salary. They quit paying on-call support off hours pay after a record profit year, go figure. It looks good and sounds good up front, but once you are there awhile, you will see how it really is. Just a caution.
