      Pros

      It's a job. There are some benefits that include a 401k. They are trying to be proactive with the changes in healthcare.

      Cons

      Thee pay is low and the benefits expensive. The management was very verbal about the negative effect of a union. They scared everyone. Too bad.

      Pros

      Used to be very patient centered, small town community hospital where you felt like you were working with family. Now that Baycare has taken over and made many changes, it doesn't feel like that anymore. Coworkers are the best - they are in the trenches with you, at least when it got rough, you knew you weren't alone.

      Cons

      Again with the merge with Baycare, many changes. Higher expectations, increasing demands on the nurses. No real acknowledgement for a job well done. High department turnover due to the attitudes of managers who act like they couldn't care less about you as an individual. Short staffed often but demands remain the same.
