Pros

Superior products, products in a broad range of therapeutic categories, quality support facilities, generous product advertising and promotion budgets, extensive research pipeline, attractive incentive plans.

Cons

Autocratic management style prevails, top international positions often held by German nationals, management is poorly schooled in employee motivation, performance feedback from management is often unacceptably low.

Pros

Good cafeteria, adequate salary, nice setting, low cost drugs, easy commute, can't really think of anything else nice to say about the company.

Cons

I worked in a contract position and found most of the employees hostile and uncooperative, very insular and cliquish. This includes pretty much everyone from the security guards to management. Disliked the atmosphere very much. Worked on a project that saved the company many, many millions and didn't even get a dollar bonus.

Pros

Bayer Pharmaceuticals is a very good place to work. They are doing innovative science that is both exciting and rewarding.

Cons

There is a bit of a moral issue there because of some recent lay offs. But overall everyone seems to be in good spirits and excited about their projects.
