Pros

State of the art pharmaceutical manufacturing. Good location near the freeway 80. Certain groups and certain jobs could be good for certain career paths. Clean and new campus (most buildings). Walking distance from 4th st and other good spots for shops and restaurants, pubs etc. Cafe is decent. Not great, but convenient. The distributed campus makes for a good location for doing other job searches via cell phone etc. Some of the introduction training and ongoing training has really good, content, instructors, framework and good variety. Money is no object in obtaining the quality of product production necessary for FDA approval.

Cons

Most workers are treated like cogs in a machine run from Germany. Most local Sr. mngt is from Germany too. Though an industry wide problem, excessive paper work and red tape as mandated by the FDA make it very hard to make substantial change of even progress of any kind at times.

Pros

It is the best place to learn what not to do as a manager.

Cons

Bayer Crop Science Mumbai brach just has way too much politics- bad politics where every one is just striving to secure their own position.

Pros

The work/life balance is favorable at the Seattle area site. Bayer's 401k contribution is one of the best I've seen - on par with Amgens. Bayer supports alternate transportation (free bus passes and shower/locker room for cyclist) and remote access from a home office. Bayer seems to be weathering the economic down turn better than most -- at least so far.

Cons

The health insurance is some of the most expensive I've seen anywhere. They aknowledge it and blame it on an older than average workforce.
