Pros

Great entry level experience. It’s a great place to get your foot in the door if you want to pursue research and development field. Very intriguing research.

Cons

The divide between full time employees and contractors is a big con. Lots of work to support the teams experiments with no reward, no benefits, no bonus, and no PTO. It is difficult to find a FT position to transition into.

Pros

Good benefits, company store, good compensation

Cons

Management has no clue about what should be done. Very political environment, favoritism to those who are closer to management circle

Pros

I'm treated well by the scientists on my team. My input on experimental design and analysis is taken seriously. The work is mostly interesting and it's fun to work and collaborate with the scientists and other lab technicians.

Cons

Entry level positions for prospective employees with a bachelors degree are all through a contracting firm, as far as I can tell. Contracting kinda sucks because there's no paid time off or medical benefits. Bayer could do better but chooses not to.
