Pros

There is a strong emphasis on improvement and they have a new program that is called Pathway's To Excellence. They push personal growth which is good.

Cons

They do not offer chances for advancement to everyone. This is offered only to certain employees. There are a lot of chances to advance, however, there are a lot of politics too. There are offers given depending on who you are. The pay is also on the lower end of the scale, although their benefits are pretty good.

Great place to work

Pros

The health care benefits are great, pay is competitive, and there are a lot of resources available to you if you want to learn and grow in your career. There are also many opportunities to get variety in your work. Over the course of your career, you can transfer around and get experience in corporate (finance, marketing, HR, IT, etc.), retail, fitness, traditional health care or nursing, or many other areas. The organization is very open to innovation and new ideas, and offers a lot of training and support, as well as funds for ongoing education. Top leadership is open and approachable.

Cons

Turnover can be pretty low in management positions. When a position does open up, there is a lot of competition for it. Many great up-and-coming rockstars get their feet wet here, and end up transferring to management elsewhere. Only a con if you want to stay. Also, there are a lot of changes in health care right now due to the Affordable Care Act, so willingness to be flexible is a must. If you're not the kind of person who deals with change easily, you may not be comfortable.
