Pros

Bear Stearns was a superb company to work for. Management treated staff as an asset not an expense to be controlled. Longevity was celebrated and rewarded.

Cons

Unfortunately Bear Stearns is gone now. The only con I had while an employee was limited internal mobility. Once you were good at something you were expected to stay in that job. Of course that meant you were a true subject matter expert.

Pros

Greatest place you could ever have wanted to work. Smart people. Great atmosphere.

Cons

Collapsed financially due to Ben Bernanke.
