      Some good, some very bad. Warning for disabled / medical problems

      Pros

      The site asks for good and bads. There are both. The good is that there are some very good people here, and it can be a pleasure to work with them. Some have had some very good experiences. With a good boss and team, it can be ideal. They offer remote 4 days a week and have good pay and benefits, which makes it a tempting offer.

      Cons

      The bad is that there are also crazy people at Belimed. The company has grown quickly, meaning that they’ve hired all kinds and there is little regulation or recourse in place. Some co-workers are amazing, working with each other to resolve issues and get stuff done. But for some, there is an adversarial relationship, and one or two of those can be very stressful. When trying to deal with these or other issues, unfortunately, HR has had an inaccurate understanding of employment law and a willingness to cause employees difficulty or job loss to look good on paper or avoid admitting fault. Not the entire department, but some. Be warned, knowledgeable, and ready to stand up for your legal rights. Go out of your way to avoid revealing anything related to your health or even use an inhaler where anyone might see.

      Friendly environment. LIC building has nice amenities.

      Cons

      No career growth. Not rewarded for work ethic, quality, quantity, etc. Office is still far commute after move.

      Pros

      Fellow technicians in the area are great to work with when possible. Little inner office gossip heard in the field.

      Cons

      The amount of paperwork is horrible. The program we use for paperwork is a joke. The amount of turnover in the US headquarters is laughable - I don't even know who the H.R. person is anymore! The mid/lower level management tries hard but can't get anything done to help those in the field and we are totally governed by the main part of the company in Europe. Myself and many others in this company have been told when we were hired on that we get paid for 40hrs a week or more regardless of how few hours we worked - this was a lie. We were told we would be able to work as much overtime as needed - this was also a lie as they are cutting back overtime now. I was also told when I hired on that I would only be working installs for a couple weeks before working with a mentor - this is also a lie - now we are expected to do installs all the time as well as service calls and PM's and my back can't handle pushing around those big Sterilizers. This job has completely killed my social life and is wreaking havoc on my family life. They (including the CEO) keep telling us that things will get better, but they haven't. I'm tired of having that carrot being dangled in front of me. Tired of being lied to....
