Pros

* There is Gleitzeit - Flex time. * Weihnachts party in Rheinenergiestadion ( Only when it is not a crisis year). * Parking. * Trainings are available, (but you have to ask at least 3 times for it). * Salary payments always on time. * Employee stock option plan (1:1). * Friendly receptionists. * Leiharbeit company with a good reputation. * Promising blue sky at the beginning, * Good Industry network (Only when it is not a crisis year). * Good for starters only. * Fun when you belong to the incrowd.

Cons

* Management neglects employees. * Mostly Incompetent Teamleaders (Teamleiters). * You have to remind Teamleaders to do the yearly employee review. * As soon as you are not working "inhouse" the Teamleaders loose track of the team members; * Only one or zero team meetings a year. * Team gets together after yearly B-Asked survey takes place to discuss the outcome of the survey (B-Asked = Company Performance review done by employees). * Friss oder stirb mentality. * Teamleads usually do not know what the skill set is of the employee. * When working for an OEM, the salary of the Bertrandt engineer is 30% less than the OEM Engineer. (gleiche arbeit gleiches geld = not the rule). * Laissez-faire attitude of the management. * When there is Kurz Arbeit (Short Time) things are less comfortable at Bertrandt Köln. * Management systematically forget things. * You are on your own. * It is not a age 40+ environment. * One way communication. * No "open door" policy. * Big all hands meetings are done in German language, although many foreigners, who do not speak German, work for Bertrandt AG. * No real career development plan. * When outsourced, you have to go an a interview and sell yourself. This can lead to interesting situations.

Pros

A highly professional German company, with a global customer base

Cons

If you are not German, there are no promotions, limited training, cannot attend any company workshops as they are only run in German. The only focus on the company is making a profit with a focus on graduates to work in a full-time customer role, while been underpaid with limited/no pay rise. Management expects everyone to do two to three roles, to reduce the costs and don't care about employee well-being and HR do not acknowledge or support people with stress.
