Pros

Large company with good benefits, stock purchase, 401k. Definitely opportunities available to grow into management or beyond. The potential is there.

Cons

This is a retail environment and includes long hours, working nights and weekends, and inability to take off during the holidays.

Pros

you're only in it for part time and you don't mind being treated like a commission sales rep even though you only get paid hourly. The discount is good, the co-workers are awesome.

Cons

Management has almost zero product knowledge and on most days will do less work than the entry level employees. Managers push you to sell even though they're the only ones who bonus if you do. No matter how well or how poor the stores numbers are your pay will be the same. Unless you are an amazing kiss ass you won't be promoted or get a substantial raise for a long time.

Pros

If you're lucky you will meet a lot of fun co-workers/supervisors/managers that will make time go by quick. Talking to customers about the electronics is also a plus if you're into that stuff. You learn a lot about the retail environment and gives you work experience if you have never had a job or looking for a stepping stone.

Cons

Since it is retail they will make you work whatever hours possible that you are able to give. The pay doesn't compensate the amount of work you do. Having a college degree or higher education means nothing to them, its all about experience and who you know. There are some general managers that started as sales associates and worked their way up after 10 years or less with the company.
