Pros

Employee Accommodation! 5% above cost. If you like car audio it is amazing as you will see 80% discounts! It is a good college job to get some toys that your friends can't afford yet.

Cons

I had a BS in Computer Information Systems from a top 10 school and was only making $10.15 b/c they couldn't afford to pay me more. PS, BBY is planning on building 400 more stores in the next 2 years...thats going from 900 to 1300!

Pros

Excellent opportunities for advancement so long as your are willing to put in the elbow grease to get there. Only in rare occasions does Best Buy recruit from outside the company, which is a good thing. Most Best Buy employees are aware of this and appreciate the opportunities that are laid out for them.

Cons

It's retail, so obviously you don't have normal "weekends" off. Most of Best Buy's money is made during the holiday season, so you employees do not get ANY time off from the months of October through January, making it very difficult to spend any time with family. Putting a strain on your personal life.
