Pros

Great people, good discount, decent store hours

Cons

Not enough hours as part time and no real benefits outside of discount as a part time employee

Pros

Most team members are relatively supportive and understanding. You get employee discounts. You get trained pretty well.

Cons

The appointment schedule line is outsourced to non Best Buy employees who have no idea what’s going on in the stores. For example when our diagnostic systems were down, there was no way to communicate that to the appointment center so they kept sending people in for appointments. When I brought it up to management they said there was nothing they could do about it. The geek squad managers can never be there to help because since they’re so understaffed they always put them up at the podium for hours. You’ll often be pulled to cash registers because Best Buy again is very understaffed, not because people aren’t applying, but ALLEGEDLY because they just greedy and want to save their money. It would run so much better if they just hired the proper amount of people and communicated with call centers.

Pros

Good discount Friendly coworkers 401k Good general manager- Michael Kugel

Cons

I had worked there for a little over two years in the front. Unfortunately, at that time management wasn't great. I had a good lead and supervisor, but the manager, Stephanie, at the time, was not very nice. After having showed up to every shift with no call out for two years, I needed to take off for a family emergency. Upon calling the company hours before my shift, as we were told to do so, she told me that "I need to be responsible and attend my shift", as they only schedule one person in the front most days. In the front, it is rare you will get your legal, 15 minute break and will be met with frustration when asked to take it, as someone must cover your position. After treating the company, my coworkers and management with respect, it was disheartening to be talked down to in this way.
