Zero Morale/Lack of Flexibility/Micromanagement
Pros
Pay, benefits, work from home, great product.
Cons
I really wanted to love this company especially with how much money I was making here. The only issue is I was absolutely miserable mental health wise logging in everyday. The company has zero morale and you quite literally feel like a number every single day you login. You are in fear of losing your job from day ONE and are always on edge that you aren’t meeting metrics as a lot of the metrics are out of your control. If you have a family emergency or medical situation and all of your PTO is used up, there is zero flexibility on time off and you can be terminated. They watch your every move and you constantly are in fear you will be terminated. I understand the importance of keeping a company compliant and disciplined but it would be great if the company realized we are humans who have lives. I never once got a “Good morning, how are you doing today?” message from my boss or anyone in leadership making me feel constantly alone and like I’m just here to be workhorse and not a person. I’ve also never worked for a company where employees were expected to work Christmas Eve and New Years Eve/Day. That’s fine if that’s the need, but we didn’t even receive a “Thank You” or “Happy Holidays” from the CEO for working those days and taking time away from our families. All in all, the money is great, but take it from someone making 90k/year at this company who left by CHOICE because they were so miserable, stressed, and depressed feeling like a slave and in fear of losing their job everyday. Also, if you are a woman working this job, be prepared to be hit on constantly and HR do nothing about it. Be prepared for sexual jokes to be made in your team channel and your manager do nothing about it. Be prepared for a college fraternity like environment where everyone is obsessed with being the next “Wolf of Wall Street” and their egos be through the roof 24/7. Just an icky vibe overall.
