Pros

Free snacks in the break room? An ever-improving benefits structure? Free medical coverage? How about the major flexibility with schedules that everyone seems to have?! Keep an eye on Beyondsoft – you’ll be hearing much more about this company over the coming months and years. A competitive salary and growth potential are great pieces of a good job, but pleasant co-workers and free coffee serve as a good reminder that work doesn’t have to be as bad as people make it out to be. Things are only getting better! Also, how cool is the fingerprint recognition software to get into the office?!

Cons

Occasionally, newly acquired companies butt heads with the established order at the parent company. Beyondsoft is quickly growing, and looking to establish itself as a force to be reckoned with in Seattle and across the US. The company is actively trying to redefine its identity outside of its Chinese roots, and that takes time. Re-defining HR procedures, sifting through internal culture, and merging what was once a Chinese company into the American tech-consulting melting pot is no easy thing. Yes, there are pitfalls, and disconnection, and uncertainty about what that might look like… but aside from the occasional ruffled feathers and disconnect between inner-office staff? This place is a far-cry better than many alternatives in the Seattle area for technology consultants.

Pros

Good Company with Good Vision. Probably an awesome CEO if you have access to him. Great team spirit for some teams.

Cons

In my department, I report to a boss whom limits my access to higher management. I run the ground work but do not get credit. In fact my effort and achievements count for nothing because no one knows I am responsible for it and there is a perception that my superior did it. I pad on the back would have been nice. Political boss in my department Body Shopping Employees are not told the absolute truth on career progression but being sold a dream which probably has a 5% chance of coming to fruition.

OK for what it is

Pros

Overall as giant outsourced staffing firms go, this one has a decent package and pays OK. It has been recently acquiring other small firms and the people that come in via those acquisitions are pretty great.

Cons

Massive organizational chaos, mismanagement of all kinds of things from operations (invoicing work) to employee management (tracking of employee data, poor/no performance management process).
