Pros

Base salaries are decent. Fun culture in the offices. Good work from home and vacation policy. Decent work life balance. Helpful and nice coworkers. Being close to the beach is great. People will sometimes listen to your ideas. At the beginning there was an exciting feeling of doing something innovative and there were summer conferences at the HQ.

Cons

Bonuses are lacking because unreachable goals are set. People are in management and leadership positions based on tenure and not skill or competence. Leadership is not transparent about important company changes like hiring, funding, and performance. Morale is low due to performance and lay offs.

Pros

Excellent pay Results-focused coworkers who are genuinely passionate about maximizing impact, fun to work with and you can take pride in your work Culture supports making mistakes, learning from them without blame PTO policy is great; take the time you want, as long as your work gets done Lots of people work from home multiple days of the week; remoting is also supported

Cons

Senior management has some serious issues, for example: * Some obviously poor decisions that have inevitably led to bad results (hiring via nepotism vs qualification, promotion via longevity vs. business need, unnecessary re-orgs) * A panic mentality on occasion where they start looking for magic bullets to fix problems that don't really exist, to avoid the problems they can't do anything about (like poor sales results) * Forecasting and goals are unrealistic and almost never match reality; when they do, it's a surprise to everyone * Hiring/ firing practices can be eyebrow-raising (making offers, then rescinding them after ppl quit their other job... who does that?) Also, some benefits could use some work. Not bad, but not great either.
