Pros

I've worked for Bigcommerce for plenty of time to see the company go through growing pains. Management makes an active effort to effectively communicate between all departments. If you're a dedicated worker, you have so many opportunities to flourish. They want to promote within the company. The working environment is great overall. Best place I've ever worked.

Cons

As previously stated, there are some growing pains. Mostly it is just a process of figuring out where the company needs improvement and that improvement gets implemented.

Pros

The entry level people are working hard. They seem to truly care about make bigcommerce a great place to be.

Cons

Top Management and Executive Leadership very disingenuous. They only seem interested in a great IPO with little interest in the people. They tell you what you want to hear in order for you to keep pushing.

Unfortunate misguided leadership team

Pros

The employees are generally good-humoured, personable, professional people who work hard and strive for excellence.

Cons

The Leadership team especially at the Executive levels and within Sales are political, favorite players who expect everyone to cowtow to their demands and ideas not matter how misguided or ridiculous. The "culture" is generally manufactured and nothing like the genuine culture of care it originally was. The Austin office, while pretty, is such a terrible commute for anyone who doesn't live in Cedar Park or Lakeway.
