It's still about the numbers.

Pros

Fairly laid back environment at times and decent vacation time given. Employee benefits are okay with the waived doc fee (for vehicle purchases inside the company) and discounts on service/parts.

Cons

Management only cares about the numbers, despite claiming they care about employees. They only care about making themselves look good, but stop caring about longer-term employees who would put in effort and have attention to details that others ignore if you even attempt to help improve things. They cut back on things over the years that used to reward hard working employees, but are happy to have "record profits." Long hours, apathetic management, refusal to give raises (unless you take a promotion that you may not want), lack of care from co-workers making things harder for everyone, and a horrendous lack of communication. Communication is one of the worst aspects of the company with things getting lost and little information given to help make the workflow better. The company willing to hire new employees with better pay than ones who have been around longer is an insult. The rule of having to give a month's notice for vacation time is also a ridiculous requirement. Worked at several dealerships before Bill Dodge and didn't expect much better, only to still be disappointed, if not more so than others. It seemed nicer than other dealers at first, but everyone got complacent with the work put in and would only make things harder for not only myself and my position, but for themselves and each other. No one cares, especially upper management. You care about your quality of work? Doesn't matter, it's always about quantity over quality. Even did extra things to help with marketing, only to be offered insultingly low pay for the extra work. "Only" worked in the dealership industry for almost 10 years, but BDAG is no different than the rest. You are just replaceable to them.

Nepotism and lack of direction

Pros

Great people but not in upper management

Cons

Leadership is horrendous, must be a "yes man" and do what you're told. No invitation or suggestions are allowed..
