Pros
Bio-Techne is a really great company to work for and it's getting better by the day. With a new sense of community and a push for internal collaboration, communication, and togetherness. Employees are beginning to feel more like they belong to something. Something really cool, a true team. Where input and ideas are valued at every level, from top to bottom. From my perspective the leadership is listening to its employees and is taking the needed steps to improve upon what is working and trying to fix what isn't. A better culture is being built.
Cons
Emotional managing comes to mind first and foremost. Shouldn't performance dictate compensation rather than favor? Our review process seems a bit sluggish, too timely. In addition to its pace a good performance review or promotion doesn't really equate to a monetary increase. I think this needs to change. There should be more of an incentive to do good work. Politics.
