      Stepping stone along your career path

      Pros

      Incredibly great people across multiple departments that you will get to work with. There is a gym that you can use and has pretty much everything you need.

      Cons

      Pay is well below industry standard. Most talented employees leave after working a year or two since they have the "Bio-Techne" name on their resume they will be able to go to a competitor that will pay them industry standard starting out and will be valued. CEO is beyond outdated on his views, doesn't budge on offering flexible work from home options to those it could really benefit. Its a decent job starting out, but little incentive to stick around.

      Pros

      Regular 9 to 5 hours. Usually no weekends or holidays and no mandatory overtime.

      Cons

      Benefits are getting stripped slowly. The company is doing well but instead of distributing the wealth the only person that gets richer are high management, CEO and his friends. Regular employees get only 2% raises and now having to pay more of our medical insurance premiums you actually lose a % of salary.

      Management doesn't listen and the company is changing

      Pros

      -Work life balance is good -Colleagues are nice -WFH flexibility is solid (depending on your team) -Fair amount of young employees

      Cons

      -Management is stubborn, unlikely to listen to feedback -Recent organizational changes have led to layoffs (company never had layoffs before Oct 2022, now they have them every 6 months it seems) -Entering management takes an obscenely long amount of time, most management members either stayed for 10+ years or left and came back, very little vertical mobility even for high performers
