Pros

Good work-life balance, great benefits, and a strong brand name to add to your resume. Stay for three years tops and move on to make a lot more money.

Cons

BlackRock consistently pays way below the current market rate. Internal mobility is very difficult unless you have a sponsor. The company talks a good game when it comes to diversity but most of its senior employees from underrepresented backgrounds are hired from the outside - there is little to no growth for current employees. The company is still relatively young and reorganizes/rebrands internal teams almost every year without much upside for the final business product.
