Pros

If you are fortunate you will be able who genuinely care about your career development and work/life balance.

Cons

the pay is less than industry average. They will give you more work than can be reasonably done by a single person, even working close to 12 hours a day. Internal mobility is a joke, what matters is who you know, not what you know. In order to get promoted it takes an enormous amount of effort. you have to consistently outperform your peers by doing significant more work and working longer hours at the expense of any outside life you may have. day after day, week after week, year after year.

Pros

All the senior managers (MDs) who I encountered during my three years at the firm were exceptional. They were articulate, strategy-focused. And they listen to and care about their employees. My colleagues who were working on the business side were very smart and professional. Strong HR department. The flexible-time-off program was a plus for me, i.e. take time off whenever I needed. The senior leadership of the firm held frequent town halls at all levels of the firm to keep everyone in the know.

Cons

The middle managers in the technology department that I've worked with lacked either technical expertise or people management skills in general with only a few exceptions. The tech stack was a hodgepodge and a lot of the internal tools were very old. The code deployment process lacked automation. I felt that the solution middle management picked was to throw more people performing manual deployments at very late hours. Another big pain was the time zone difference. This was especially painful when you needed to work closely with your teammates, but only to find out they were in many different timezones (India, London, East/West coast, etc) simultaneously. The work-life balance was awful.
