Pros

Good company, leader in Asset Management and Finance Industry. Very well established. Business leaders are very knowledgable, and experts in their areas.

Cons

No career growth and no leadership opportunities, if located in San Francisco. Actually career goes downhill.

Pros

normal working hours, few global calls, company is located in the financial district downtown SF. Always something happening around the area.

Cons

professional development is limited if you're not in sales. Pretty siloed into your own org and work.

Pros

Flat hierarchy/easy to take on responsibility early...People don't ascribe much value to rank (analyst, associate, etc.) in terms of what you're qualified/allowed to do on the desk. People are very friendly here, much more than you'll find in sales & trading/ most hedge funds. Managers take an interest in employee development

Cons

Pay here is less than pay at many other buyside opportunities, e.g. a PIMCO or Double Line Hard to navigate different arms of the organization/figure out where each business line fits into the big picture
