Pros

Blackbaud has great people working together throughout the US. In addition to the fact that going to work was fun, it was rewarding to know that I had a hand in assisting thousands of non-profits achieve their missions. I was playing an active part in making the world a better place.

Cons

The biggest drawback for me was the inconsistency of the experience that one can have based on who their manager is. Some managers allowed for flexible work schedules, remote privileges, and were OK with children being present during working hours (when working remotely) Other managers could/would fire employees for trying to attain the same degree of flexibility-- even across the same job title.

Pros

Excellent market segment(non-profit/philanthropic) with great clients you love to help succeed. Great co-workers who believe or at least buy into the mission. Staff tried to do everything clients ask.

Cons

Staff tries to do everything clients ask. Products end up being huge feature checklists rather than cohesive and intuitive solutions. As company grew and middle management layer added, upper management lost their direct touch with the front line.
