start-up atmosphere, nimble, move fast, smart teams with a lot of talents, close knit, overall good experiences

Cons

the founders didn't run the company well, financial situation got worse, ended up being acquired by a major competitor

Pros

Great value in the work they do, lots of passionate people committed to providing the charity sector the very best they can, great office vibe, great office location (North Sydney). Most importantly it's personally rewarding work.

Cons

Poor leadership, very nepotistic (co-workers going on Christmas vacations together), lack of vision. The real damning factor is they do not recruit outside of the not-for-profit sector making the business so inbred that commercial expertise counts for very little. Senior directors of charities would consider working as a junior at Blackbaud a positive career move and consequently they come cheap.
