      Pros

      The culture, vacation time and the people.

      Cons

      It took awhile to receive the pay that I have, because I was hired right out of college. They hire college grads so they can pay them less and still keep those hires on a lower scale than those hired mid career as they progress.

      Pros

      Blackbaud, like many companies, is what you make of it. With room for both introverts and extroverts, Blackbaud is an easy place for any personality type to find a home. The clearly defined tier structure makes it easy to see career trajectory. The flexibility to work remotely, with no set schedule, makes up for the cube-farm that exists in HQ.

      Cons

      Blackbaud has grown fairly quickly, but to the detriment of internal processes. Duplicate, and often redundant, systems exist throughout the organization, making it difficult to navigate the abundance of information (ranging from product information to HR). Employee benefits are generally lacking. Health Care coverage is sub-par, even if it is the average for region. For example, Cambridge employees are offered much better health care options. Compensation is also sub-par, especially considering that Blackbaud is a leader in the industry.
