      Immature Founders Undermine Capable Leaders

      The Blackity Black on-boarding is refreshing.

      Cons

      1) Board is comprised solely of founders so there is an absence of governance. 2) C-Suite founders skipped people leadership steps so they don't quit get how to work with and through their next level leaders. 3) Founders believe they are the smartest in the room so they routinely undermine VP/Directors. 4) Financial targets lack basis so bonus pay is not attainable. 5) Founders lack strategic planning skills so they make a fair amount of reactive decisions unilaterally.

      It's easy to join but also easy to leave.

      Cons

      The current leadership here at Blavity seems to be inexperienced, or at least most of them are. The leadership is ineffective at its job because we don't get any opportunities for learning and advancement, and employees here are often overloaded with work. Most of the time, our leaders don't seem like they know what they're doing!
