Pros

There are a handful of people left who do care and are smart, hard working.

Cons

I quit after having to deal with the following: Tanking of morale - What was left of morale when I got to the company dissipated completely due to frequent (silent) layoffs and dismissals. Employees who quit were told not to tell anyone and this resulted in several teams not knowing that a major contributor was leaving, stalling productivity and resulting in zero knowledge transfer. In fact, a key individual contributor who quit was told to leave the same day by leadership. Zero transparency - What is the valuation of the company? While working at Blink you will never know how the company is doing in terms of actual dollars. The founders and execs will say the company is doing great and that's about it. The situation is so abysmal that every single employee I know that quit in 2019 or 2020 has not been able to exercise their options due to lack of valuation. CEO & COO - I read a review on here that said the founders were aloof but probably geniuses. This is laughable. Sudden frequent changes in strategy is not a sign of genius innovation. It a sign of someone who doesn't know what they're doing. Failure to communicate to employees or show any humanity or sympathy is not the sign of a tortured savant. It is the sign of a sociopath. Lack of career ladder - Promotions were constantly put off due to failure of HR and leadership to get it together. At the same time, leadership positions were filled by ex-Amazon, Facebook, and Microsoft employees (most likely to impress VCs). Please reach out to former employees if you're seriously considering this place. The truth about Blink Health is much more insane than anything you'll read on here.

Pros

- Pays relatively well - Free lunch and snacks (pre-pandemic) - Below VP level there are some very talented and wonderful people that you are lucky to meet and work with. People care about each other and about the work they do. - Good benefits

Cons

- What all the other reviews said - Leaders care more about profits and looking good for investors than the well-being of their employees. - One story: The same day that 20+ employees (mainly in product/engineering) were laid off for alleged covid/budgeting reasons, the HR team told us in an all-hands meeting that Blink is still hiring for product and engineering roles, and encouraged us to refer any friends whose jobs may have been affected by the economic situation. Completely tone-deaf (why yes, I actually know about 20 people who were just laid off for covid/budgeting reasons, what a coincidence!). It was a funny and very sad example of how the HR & leadership teams seem to live in their own separate fantasy world. - Constant turnover, whether from layoffs or people choosing to leave. Often these departures are not announced, and you only find out when you see that their Slack account has been deactivated. This is obviously bad for morale, but even if we pretend we're all robots who don't care about our coworkers, knowledge about this industry and about the history of our product is so important. Without that context we make worse decisions and break things more frequently, and seemingly simple tasks end up taking double or triple the amount of time and effort.

Pros

I am inspired by the mission, the platform and the talent. We have a great shot at lowering drug prices. Lots of google reviews with delighted customers. We solve hard problems everyday, so I I'm developing at an awesome clip.

Cons

Recent cuts in the NY office, followed by lots of hiring in Seattle has created some unhappy ex employees in NY.
