      Pros

      Loved my time working at Block. Had career advancement opportunities, fair pay, and great colleagues/business partners--a really collaborative space. Plus, working remote was a dream. Their Oakland office is lovely, and I would visit once a month to see colleagues. I would go back in a heartbeat.

      Cons

      Not immune to layoffs, so don't get too comfortable--you're just another cog in the wheel. I'm lukewarm about Jack's leadership, but really really like Amrita!

      Pros

      I worked at Block for 3+ years and enjoyed every second. The people that make up Block are some of the most brilliant minds you will come across, while also being so personable. I was unfortunately impacted by the January 30th layoffs, but I would work for Block again in a heartbeat. To succeed you need to be extremely flexible to adapt to ongoing company changes and open to constant collaboration (the best!). Even considering my personal circumstances, I think Block is an amazing company that anyone would be lucky to work for.

      Cons

      The ongoing company changes can be hard to keep up with at times. You need to always be on top of it and make sure you are aware of all changes. Nothing is static, but that is part of the fun.
