      Remote, once felt mission driven, smart and talented colleagues (many of whom have since been laid off)

      Lack of direction, constant and aggressive performance evaluations and stack ranking, toxic culture

      Great learning opportunities but questionable senior management

      Pros

      Interesting projects and top tier talent. So much to learn from. Never worked in a more talent dense company before.

      Cons

      Recently let go of many top talent even when company doing better than ever, using AI as excuse. Not sure why we are not using AI to get more work done, and generate more capacity and growth with current head count rather than cut headcount to do the same amount of work. Seems counter intuitive. Makes everyone who is left behind look elsewhere because no matter how well the company's doing, statistics so far show (with all the smaller redundancies that lead up to this big one) that we are all likely going to get cut. Except for senior management of course.
