Pros

Interesting web3 space, lots of resources

Cons

Laid off entire engineering team right before Christmas. Still no launched product after 5+ yrs. Hire then fire people very quickly. Will invest in big things, but very cheap. No focus. Business leaders are not held accountable, blame everyone else.

Pros

Based on recent events that unfolded there are none left.

Cons

I joined Blockchains with high hopes and enthusiasm for contributing to the exciting world of blockchain and self-sovereign identity (SSI). Unfortunately, my time at this company turned out to be nothing short of a professional nightmare. Here are the key reasons why Blockchains is the worst employer I've ever encountered: Heartless Holiday Massacre: One week before Christmas, the company decided to fire half of its employees without any prior notice. The cold and impersonal method chosen for this devastating blow was a Zoom call. It was a heartless act that left employees in shock and disbelief, ruining the holiday spirit for many families. This complete lack of empathy and disregard for the well-being of employees is beyond reprehensible. Founder's Ego Over Substance: The founder, a former lawyer, displays an egomaniacal attitude that overshadows any genuine interest or understanding of blockchain technology or SSI. It becomes glaringly apparent that the only thing driving this individual is their ego and public image. The founder's detachment from the core technologies the company is built upon is not only disheartening but also a significant obstacle to the company's progress. Management Incompetence: The top management at Blockchains consists of yes-sayers with legal backgrounds but a severe lack of comprehension when it comes to blockchain technology or SSI. This lack of understanding has resulted in a failure to release any product with genuine market potential. It's clear that decisions are made based on legal perspectives rather than technological feasibility, hindering innovation and progress within the company. Internal Politics Over Innovation: The only product that seems to be flourishing at Blockchains is its internal politics. The toxic environment fueled by power struggles and lack of vision has overshadowed any potential for innovation or collaboration. The focus on personal agendas rather than fostering a creative and forward-thinking atmosphere has turned the workplace into a breeding ground for discontent and frustration. In conclusion, Blockchains is undoubtedly the worst employer one could choose. The heartless firing of employees, the founder's ego-driven leadership, and the incompetent top management make it clear that this company is not a place for those who value their time, mental health, and professional growth. If you are considering Blockchains as your next career move, I strongly advise against it. Save yourself the anguish and look for opportunities elsewhere where your skills and efforts will be valued and appreciated.

Pros

Good pay... that's about it. A few good people.

Cons

Poor leadership from the top down... was there for 6 months and never even heard from CEO or COO. My direct supervisor barely checked in on me. No communication between departments... I had no idea what any other department was working on. Hired me for 6 months, then let me go due to budget cuts- poor planning on their part. They hire people just to let them go in 6 months. I would not recommend working here if you want any type of job security. In the short 6 months I was there, I saw them fire at least a dozen people.
