Pros

Mission to cure blood cancer Great benefits (vacation, sick, personal days, medical, dental, vision) Tech savy organization although some processes should be streamlined

Cons

Long hours, nights and weekends. Expect to work at least 2 weekends each month No opportunities for professional development or continuing education Unprofessional work environment Compared to other non-profit organizations, LLS employees are underpaid

LLS is a seriously dysfunctional organization.

Pros

LLS has a wonderful mission that attracts many dedicated volunteers and staff.

Cons

Unfortunately, the leadership of LLS has a corporate mind-set that is more focused on fundraising than service to patients. The organization has become the poster-child for non-profits who have lost their way; with the means becoming more important than the ends.

Pros

Mission is prominent in your everyday work, the cause really support local patients, finding cures and helping, volunteers are dedicated and motivated to help

Cons

Internal issues with upper management make it very hard for staff to be successful, those who work closely within the organization know how inappropriate the things that are happening in the office are, double standards and guilt are utilized often to try to get results
