If you are up to a challenge Bloom is a great place to work. If not, quit complaining and find an easier place to go work.

Pay not as high as other firms in Silicon Valley

Pros

Brilliant people, using only the laws of physics to determine what can or can't be done, amazing progress in product evolution over the last generation, how much of an impact any individual can make if they really want to, and working on a technology that you can be proud to tell your family and friends about given it's environmental and economic benefits.

Cons

It's a challenging work environment if you let it get to you. Working with very smart people isn't easy, but what you can learn is incredible. Working on a product that is creating an industry can be less predictable than some people are comfortable with, but managing through this uncertainty makes you stronger and yields new opportunities.

Pros

Working at Bloom is a truly amazing opportunity! Every day is a new challenge and what's most satisfying is how we work together as teams to solve problems. Bloom has a small-feel to it. One day you can find yourself at lunch with the head of Engineering or EVP Quality just the same as you might take a shop-floor tour with the COO to see what new process manufacturing has developed. At Bloom, everyone makes time for everyone, and each person matters. No engineer is 'too busy' to take time out of their day to teach you about our technology just the same as marking & sales want to educate every person on strategy and customer needs. It's a family at Bloom and we put others first by ensuring everyone learns and is a part of the bigger picture. There has never been a challenge the team hasn't been able to overcome. With this comes recognition too! Promotion can happen very fast, and so can job rotation assignments which supports continued learning and development. The opportunities are endless....work on new concepts, build processes, develop people, learn & create, overcome impossibilities, all while changing the world....you, can make a real difference at Bloom.

Cons

When building a company you also have to build the processes. It can be both challenging and tiresome when there is so much to do in a day. It's a unique environment though, and its very rare to find a company that allows the flexibility to design your own future the way Bloom does. So when you take a minute to look back at what's been accomplished, you find yourself amazed at what you've achieved in such a short time.
