Pros

need policy improvement on pretty much everything not sure if upper management of bloom does even know this is Happening

Cons

Employee requested PAID SICK for 2 days he was not able to go to work due to worst lower back pain When he got back, he gave his supervisor a doctor's note, and he took it with no words. The next day he talked to the employee to change that paid sick he requested, and the sup said it is only exclusive for covid and based on what I remember that information is not included on the agreement we signed before employees first day. And I believe there is 24 hrs or 3 days available for every employee within a year and this California law is already present even before COVID started. more cons: - can't have water on the line not even personal you have to walk all the way to cafeteria to drink water and if you do it more often you will get in trouble and will have a talk with you Lead. - not following every 2 hrs break for every employee on 12 hrs shift -requiring others to be vaccinated and boosted even asked for proof but some employee that been there for long time till now are not even vaccinated even once -Supervisor approving timecard too early without notifying employee if they are missing punches -after reporting to HR employee got terminated within 1-2 days and the reason? is same reason why employee complain to HR. very wrong and bad management -terminating employee is one just call away nowadays - just quick talk 2 people in the " you are terminated" and when you email this HR right after the call because you need more explanation and reason no response. BTW this is just recently happened not even a week. Hope they will take action about this ASAP because Lawsuit is always available.

Pros

The people. Hands down, some of the best folks I've had the pleasure to work with. Starting pay isn't bad for the area, especially since they don't really seem to care what your previous work experience is. Easy job. I've worked in multiple fields and this is hands down the simplest job I've ever had. Tool + Hardware then rinse and repeat as many times as needed per the build schedule. Benefits for full time Bloom employees are stellar.

Cons

The management. There is a huge disconnect between upper middle and lower management on just about every issue you can imagine. Nepotism. Are you a temp? Does your family/best friend/significant other work with the company and have friends in management? You'll be the next lead on track for supervisor. Merit isn't really a thing at Bloom. You see so many hardworking temps get let go and over looked because corporate (you know, 3 time zones away) decided to cut staffing in the DE facility, while the family and friends of existing employees get kept. Conversion rate. It's basically non existent. You have probably a 5% chance of getting kept on if you are lucky, assuming you can avoid a random lay off and are good at your job. Expect to be overworked and underpaid. You will train your replacement. You will train people on jobs you've interviewed and been turned down for. You will find a better way to do the job, while being encouraged to give your input, your lead will present the idea to his boss, and he'll get brownie points. You'll get a thank you and still have a 95% chance of being laid off. Management is super catty. You will hear them bad mouth employees and gossip like little old ladies at the hair salon with their curlers in.
