      Lot of fire fighting, inconsistent appreciation of employees, too much politics.

      There is a clear focus and alignment on mission of providing clean affordable electricity to everyone. This is why there are many long term employees in a business that requires stamina for success. The team has outstanding people working on leading edge technology so there is intrinsic satisfaction

      Cons

      Being a pre-IPO hardware company, it cannot afford to provide the salary and benefits that one would get at a Google or Facebook or even Apple. The culture is biased towards the power base being in Engineering to the potential detriment of other functions

      The team has a small group of wide ranging engineering specialists Excellent team for any type of fit of person that isn't boring When you get this job, you really have to prove you know your stuff and earn it Potential for growth in the company

      The technology being utilized for the types of operations that RMCC oversees is a little behind in years and weak in processing power, which leads to sometimes slow response times The team is rather small in ratio to the number of clients and sites we monitor Some of the tools we use are glitchy/buggy
