Great place to start career

Pros

In the data department, there are many resources to grow your skills in whichever direction you want (SME, tech, etc.) no matter your previous experience/degree. There are collaboration opportunities across departments like Product and Engineering to expand your network and get exposed to other parts of the business/potential career paths.

Cons

Return-to-office (RTO) flexibility is needlessly strict. It does not matter who you are, how high of a performer you are, if you are not meeting the 3-day in-office requirement… you are urged to leave. Feels like we are sheep and can’t be trusted to do our work unless in the presence of management, no matter the strain RTO puts on personal lives. No matter what works best for us.

Pros

The most beautiful office you'll ever see, with free health care, smart people, and a very collaborative and friendly environment.

Cons

Expect to work with very old code (20-25 years, including Fortran) written in very old C++. As a first job it's a good resume builder, but get out after a few years as you'll learn nothing marketable. The company has a philosophy of "testing in production" so expect to get called in the middle of the night. The corporate culture is strong so you'll either fit in or get expelled. Be prepared to Drink the Kool-Aid. Don't bother applying if older than 35. During my time I saw no one hired with significant (> 10 years) software development experience.

Cons

terrible leadership and training expected you to know everything from your first few days of working there constantly ridiculed for asking any question Lunch was not provided by company (shocking because much smaller companies offered free lunch) NO work life balance whatsoever, they expect you to work 24/7 unrealistic report deadline due dates trust me, big name company sounds great but it was a nightmare every single day working there, you deserve better dont work here
